Spendtracker Instructions

SPENDTRACKER ® Advanced is not a standard calculator. It has been specifically designed to track your spending either by:

1. Track by SPENDING: - Start at zero & keep a running total of how much you spend OR

2. Track by BUDGET: - Start with a pre-set budget & track what you have left to spend.

When turned on, SPENDTRACKER ® Advanced will automatically display one Master Running Total. This shows the total spent across all categories with one corresponding Budget End Date.

SPENDTRACKER ® Advanced is pre set with the following categories all contributing to one Master Running Total;

GROCERY: Supermarket, Food expenses

TRANSPORT: Fuel, tolls, public transport, car expenses

FAST FOOD: Fast food, coffee, snacks, ice creams etc.

ENTERTAINMENT: Going out, Restaurants, Movies, Concerts, etc.

PERSONAL: Hair & Skin care, Clothes, Shoes, Gym

OTHER 1: Miscellaneous expenses

OTHER 2: Other Miscellaneous expenses

BILLS: Electricity, Water, etc.

In addition to the above categories, I have included the isolated categories ACCOUNT 1 and ACCOUNT 2. These categories do not contribute to the Master Running Total. They allow you to track expenses that sit outside of your normal budget. In these categories you can track things like business expenses, holiday expenses, special occasion budgets like a wedding or birthday party or even a second credit/ debit card.

If you do not wish to enter a pre-determined budget for any of the categories, you can go straight to the INSTRUCTIONS.
If you do wish to enter a pre-determined budget for any of the categories, it is important to know the amount you want to key into each category before you begin using this product.

HOW JULIE USES SPENDTRACKER ® Advanced
At the beginning of each month I work out my budget and the date my budget finishes. I then allocate amounts for each of the above categories and enter them into my Spendtracker. I find the category OTHER 1 useful for keeping track of the birthday gifts I always seem to be buying throughout the month! I use Other 2 to keep track of my Children’s expenses like swimming lessons, piano lessons, books and those types of things.

I don’t set a budget for ACCOUNT 1 but I use it to keep a running total of all my business expenses. I recently used ACCOUNT 2 when we were on holiday. I had a tight budget that I didn’t want to blow. Spendtracker was a great tool in helping me stick to this budget.
